ATELIER GCA

This love story with this apartment started in the 2016 when I moved from Milan to Pescara, we were looking for a space to use as house studio.
The apartment in the centre of Pescara was perfect! The C shape gave the opportunity to divide the space in two L maintaining privacy for the two different uses.
It was love at first sight! The floor although quite old looked great with different tiles having their own geometry and colours. These floors were the result of the last owner who wanted to host and cheer the life of a father with his children, who lost their mother during the Second World War.
In fact, we maintained and polished all the floors, painting the entire wall in white colour in order to capture as much light as we could do.
The white curtains and the white threads of lighting play a dominant role in the design, making the space dynamic and light in line with the dynamism and lightness of Pescara town.
